The following Quilt Block Patterns are all Traditional quilt blocks done in the One Block Only style. Each pattern is shown in a large format so you can get a good idea of what you might like to try.

Chisholm Trail

This block is only looks complicated but is made
up with entirely of Tri-Sqs.

Churn Dash

This block is a classic Traditional pattern. Also makes up as a lovely quilt when used in multiples
of the block.

Churn Dash (variation)
Far West

This block is a variation of
the above Churn Dash.
The two differences are the checkerboard center and the three stripes along the sides,
all done by stripping.

Delectable Mountains

This block is called a "sawtooth" pattern. It is made almost entirely of Tri-Sqs. All the “mountains” are Tri-Sqs set on
to a larger Tri-Sq and a pin-
wheel center made from the
last piece of each square. It is assembled as a four-patch.

Dove in the Windows

This block is a nine-patch assembly consisting of a square center, four chevrons and four arrowheads.
A tad more challenging but well worth the effort.

This block is a block full
of stimulation because it is
made of multiple Flying Geese mini-blocks and spinning tops.
