Kansas Troubles

This block much like Delectable Mountains although the “paw”
is made differently as two different size triangles.
Wait until you get this pattern
—it will be no trouble to do!

LeMoyne Star

An eight point star where the alternating points are always a different color. Can be made
with squares in the corners and triangles on the side if you want to learn “Y” seams. Otherwise,
it can be made just as pretty
with Tri-Sqs.

Lighthouse

This block is a combination
of Duck and Ducklings, Multiple Triangles and a Square-in-a-
Square-in-a-Square. It only
looks hard or complicated.
When broken down to a center and two end pieces and two large corner triangles—it’s a snap.

Mum’s Garden

Another Square-in-a-Square-in-a-Square block. The corner “Triangles”
are comprised of a sawtooth-
style block. It is easy to make although it looks more complex.

Nebraska Windmill

This block is different because
it has partial triangles and corners. The triangles are all different sizes with a retangle added. These four blocks are sewn around a nine-patch
center square (log cabin-style).
A pretty variation of the star blocks.
